DUP cooperative was established in 1945 under the name DUP cooperative of applied art. At this time, the production assortment included wooden vases and hand painted doses. In 1947, the activities are converted in order to produce fancy leather goods for brief cases. In 1949, a production unit is set up in Nový Rychnov and is specialized in the field of metalware for manicure instruments. The MANICURE-SETS are nowadays the main products of DUP.

Production in Pelhrimov is based on producing of manicure-sets and manicure folders which are supplied with filling of different kinds of metal. We are also ready to produce and supply large assortment and different items of fancy goods. For example: Attache and pilot cases, document portfolios, folders, travel collections, beauty cases, sport bags and rucksacks, school bags, pen-cases, bags, large assortment of pen-cases, covers, folders, etuis, various accessories, etc.
Product division in Novy Rychnov is based on producing of manicure instruments. Besides we are also able to ensure different made-to-order production including surface finish as nickel coating (galvanizing and suspension drums), brassing, and gilding as well.
In 2001 DUP cooperative buys the brewery of Pelhrimov town from the state. Now it is called Pivovar POUTNIK.
